Another month has passed and I've attended yet another month of User Group meetings. This month was very exciting though. At the Orange County PHP Meetup, we've decided to set up a Southern California PHP Conference. This is really exciting since I've never actually been to any of the big tech conferences that go on throughout the year but hear about pretty much all of them and think it would be exciting and super fun. We have yet to set anything up for the conference, but I would imagine it would be set up for later this year and it would start out as a one day event. If anyone reading this has any hints or suggestions they would be greatly appreciated as this is our first time doing anything of this magnitude.
The San Diego Web Technologies Meetup group was a great one as well. We had quite a few new people show up as well as some of the regular people there. The discussion was mostly focused on what us members would like to get out of the group rather than on any specific topics. Also from this meeting, I was able to give and receive some information that was gathered at the December and January OCPHP Meetup.
The Temecula Valley Home Brewers Association meeting went wonderfully also. Josie came with me to experience the group and she seemed entertained somewhat and I think she got quite a shock with the different kinds of beer that was sampled. Some of the guys tried my first beer again and were still tasting some weird taste that they couldn't put a finger on.
Needless to say, this is going to be a very interesting year...
